Katahdin
Katahdin is an asymmetric local multiplayer VR game for 2 to 5 players. According to Abenaki’ legend, Mount Katahdin is protected by an old spirit named Pamola, who must prevent humans from reaching the top of the mountain.
The player with the VR headset is playing the mountain spirit and must use its power of the seasons to stop other players’ ascension.
Players with gamepads (1-4) must capture magical gems and bring them to totems located in surrounding villages.
Requirements
Oculus Rift + Touch (the only supported VR headset)
1 to 4 Gamepads, depending on player count.

About This Game
Katahdin was an innovative VR experiment from our Totema Studio era (2014-2024), exploring asymmetric multiplayer gameplay between VR and traditional controller players. This game jam project showcased our willingness to experiment with cutting-edge technology.
